Walking, scuffing, running and jumping in different types of snow using snowshoes, boots, hiking shoes, snowboarding boots and alpine ski boots. All sounds were recorded outside, far away from any traffic or urban noise, in the absolute quietness of the northern part of Lapland, Finland.
About half of the sounds are recorded from a first person view. Most sounds are recorded in stereo, but there are also some mono sounds in the pack.
Sounds include different walking paces, scuffs, running and jumping. Snow types include deep powder, deep trampled, thin crunchy, trampled, thin packed and soft snow.
